hi, i’m rowan.
I was raised as a caregiver to a parent with cancer. Despite my parents’ best efforts, my life was never able to revolve around me, and I had very little sense of security. In my teens, all of that built up energy became depression and anxiety disorders. After that parent died, I spent years ghosting around. I was filled not just with self loathing, but a complete lack of knowledge of myself, because I’d never had the time nor tools to find out who I was.
Listening to my intuition changed everything. I’d always been in touch with it to some degree, but I didn’t always understand the language it was speaking. Once I started paying attention to the reflections I got from others about it, and paying attention to how it spoke to me, I was able to build self trust, and resilience.
I started reaching for the things I was drawn to; rather than having a rubric of what was “me”, I let things evolve naturally. Authenticity became my self-love language; exploration my way of life. Following my intuition started as way to get some amount of movement, but quickly became the only way I could ever imagine living.
Thanks to one decision to trust my gut that became a habit, I grew into someone who doesn’t let others’ judgement interrupt me living my truest, fullest life, and who would follow their intuition anywhere. This is the space I hold for you.

Growth: to always be changing and growing and evolving; not for like a caterpillar into a butterfly, but like a lump of clay that can be remade or simply made slightly different
Humor: laughter is magic, joy brings ease. humor is one of the most beautiful things we can be a part of, or impacted by, or create
Adventure: whether it’s actual travel or deeply experiencing something new, we’ve been gifted our senses and our ability to recognize the magic in our world, and we owe it to ourselves to take in as much as we can
Creativity: creativity isn’t limited to art. every choice you make, every problem you solve; we are all alchemists, changing the world purely with our existence. conscious living is creative living, and that is what I believe in.
Fun: I believe in play, and lightheartedness, and whimsy. not just for your inner child, but for you as you are now. fun opens doors, brings resilience, and adds color to your world.

I believe that we’re taking it all too seriously. That life is an adventure and experiencing everything as deeply as possible is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.
I believe in meeting yourself where you are before trying to change anything, because if you don’t have a foundational relationship with yourself, no change is going to make you feel complete
I believe that you’re worthy of love and support, wherever you are
I believe that your power comes from what makes you unique; you have a magic in you that can only ever exist within you, and now, and if you deny it, the world will never see it again
Insight & Clarity: I was born with X-ray vision for others’ situations, and the ability to know exactly what needs to be done or said - as well as the discernment to know if now is the time to offer guidance (it’s a running joke in my family that, about once a year, everyone will separately say “I should have listened to Rowan about that”)
Reflection: Taking what you’ve said and reframing it in a way that makes you feel seen, and also offers you clarity
Accessibility: I can make large issues and emotions feel digestible
Authenticity: I can’t be anyone but myself - imperfect, excited, playful, and loving. Me showing up as myself offers not just an example, but hope, and permission. As my client said, “You being you gives me permission to be me!”
Exploration: I love to ask questions, and to root at whatever you’re coming in with in order to find its true nature and medicine
Compassion & Gentle Guidance: When we’re together, you will feel no judgement from me. I want my clients, and everyone in my life, to know that I’m a safe place. I want us to cry, laugh, and explore together. And if there is something I want to acknowledge or encourage you to challenge, I course-correct from a place of love, not criticism.

MY FAVOURITE THINGS
in the studio
Pisces Glow’s crowning achievement (so far). 2024 was the year we took things into our own hands. After purchasing the bones of a shed, we spent six straight months building a studio. A testament to what sheer tenacity will get you; we insulated dry-walled, mudded, sanded, painted, and floored our way into the most beautiful, intentional space we’d ever been in.
In this process, the original idea for Pisces Glow began to change; it was becoming so much more than a Reiki studio, and I was becoming so much more than a practitioner. I had done something I could never have imagined, and my mission became more about teaching others to reach that feeling.
